Meet & greet upon on an arrival at Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuntsholling.. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight at Phuentsholing.
After breakfast transfer to Thimphu .(178 kms / 06 hrs). Visit the Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Evening at your own leisure. You may enjoy relaxing walk in the valley at evening. Be sure to sink your teeth into momo kopi, steam dumplings filled with finely chopped cabbage, onions, cheese and butter. Overnight at Hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast go for morning sightseeing. Visit the Indigenous hospital where traditional old art of healing is still practiced, Art & Craft school, National Library, Royal goldsmith workshop and Handicraft centers. Have a sumptuous lunch. In the afternoon visit, 15th Century Changangkha monastery, Motithang mini zoo to see the rare “Takin” national animal of Bhutan and drive further down with good view of the Thimphu valley. Visit the new Drupthob nunnery temple. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight in Thimphu.
After breakfast transfer to Paro, covering some on way sightseeing. Every turn on the way comes with surprise and scenic view of the mountain and nature. Visit the historic ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong, built in 1647. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Paro.
After breakfast go for Paro Sightseeing – visit Tiger’s Nest Monastery. On clear weather Mount Chomolhari 7320 meters can be seen towering over the Dzong. Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) Opening Hours – whole week – 0900HRS TO 1600HRS & Closed On National Holidays, which was built in 1651 as a watchtower. A short walk downhill to the Rinpung Dzong which serves as the administrative center and school for monks. Walk further down crossing the traditional bridge into Paro Town. Overnight at Hotel.
Note : Kindly note that due to recent earthquake (18th September 2011) earth quake, Ta Dzong (Paro Museum) had been closed and shifted to exhibition hall just above the museum. Now the exhibition hall will be open throughout the week except for government holidays)
After breakfast check out from Hotel & transfer to Bagdogra Airport for onward journey. Tour ends with sweet memories.
