The state of Rajasthan is a popular tourist hub and it has a number of places that are not only famous domestically but are also renowned over the globe. On this tour you will be visiting some of these must-visit see places.

Immerse yourself in the splendor of shopping at the Heritage Bazaars with each shop named uniformly and uniquely. Jaipur holds the distinction of being the first planned city of India.Jaipur traces back its origins to 1727 when it was established by Jai Singh II, the Raja of Amber. He shifted his capital from Amber to the new city. The story goes that in 1876, the Prince of Wales visited India on a tour. Since the colour pink was symbolic of hospitality, Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the entire city pink. The pink that colours the city makes for a marvellous spectacle to behold. Jaipur rises up majestically against the backdrop of the forts Nahargarh, Jaigarh and Garh Ganesh Temple.

Vibrant deserts, fabulous forts, desert safaris make Bikaner a blooming beauty in the Thar desert. The city is adorned with gigantic and spectacular forts and palaces that tell the world about the opulence of its rulers. Such strong are these forts that even after so many years of their construction, they stood tall unspoiled and withstood the passage of time

Most of the architecture in Jodhpur– forts, palaces, temples, havelis and even houses are built in vivid shades of blue. The strapping forts that tower this magnificent city sum up to a spectacle you would not want to miss

Founded by Prince Jaisal in 1156, Jaisalmer grew to be a major staging post on the trade route across the forbidding Thar Desert from India to the West. Set in a sea of golden tinged sand, Sonar Kila, a golden fort rises out of a rock of topaz. Visit the silent 12th century Fort built by Prince Jaisal and the Palace. Visit the largest and most elaborate of the famous havelis of Jaisalmer, Patwon ki Haveli.

Feel the romance come alive in the Venice of the East – Udaipur with its old city offering the best view of the Lake Pichola. City Palace of Udaipur, once the home of Mewar’s rulers, is today a museum. It consists of several flawlessly integrated palaces, which overlook the clear blue of Lake Pichola.
