What to Expect

Running parallel to the Arabian Sea, the coastline of Kerala, boasts some of the most picturesque beaches in India such as Varkala, Kovalam and Marari. Adorned with array of swaying palms and coconut trees, the beaches are the picture perfect for sunrise and sunset view and is something that can remain etched in the memory forever. With Western Ghats on its side, Kerala is a delightful specimen of rich flora and fauna. Lush green surroundings and climatic conditions make Kerala an ideal habitat for a large number of migratory birds. A wide array of Ayurveda treatments that are based on Ashtangadhridaya text, make Kerala an important hub for wellness tour in India. The state is famed for its five-pronged treatment, Panchkarma. Kerala’s beach and backwaters are accompanied by its lush and surreal hill stations, of which Munnar, Wayanad and Vagamon

Itinerary

Day 1Trivandrum-Kovalam

Arrive at Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station transfer to Kovalam. Check-in at Hotel.sightseeing and overnight stay.

Day 2Kovalam- Kanyakumari - Kovalam

After breakfast proceed for Kanyakumari sightseeing . Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. With an area of 1672sq.km. Kanyakumari occupies 1.29% of the total extent of Tamil Nadu. The district name is spelled as ‘ Kanniyakumari ‘ in official records which are in tune with the spoken name of the district in Tamil language. The District is bound by Tirunelveli District on the North and the east. The South Eastern boundary is the Gulf of Munnar. On the South and the South West, the boundaries are the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea. On the West and North West it is bound by Kerala. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3Kovalam - Poovar

After breakfast check out from hotel and transferred to Poovar, Check in hotel and Proceed for Local sightseeing, Poovar is a small coastal fishing island at the southern tip of Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala. The village is embraced by a beautiful beach on one side and the backwaters on the other. During high tides, an estuary links it to the sea. It is very close to harbor of Vizhinjam and is a network of lagoons, lakes, canals, estuaries, deltas, interspersing forty-four rivers that join the Arabian Sea and overnight stay at hotel

Day 4Poovar - Alleppey

After breakfast check out from Hotel and proceed to Alleppey check in hotel and proceed for Local sightseeing. Alappuzha has always enjoyed an important place in the maritime history of Kerala. Today, it is famous for its boat races, backwater holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Alappuzha beach is a popular picnic spot. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is over 137 years old. Entertainment facilities at the Vijaya Beach Park add to the attraction of the beach. There is also an old lighthouse nearby which is greatly fascinating to visitors. overnight stay at hotel

Day 5Alleppey - Thekkady

Thekkedy is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and it is also called as Periyar. On arrival check in At Hotel. Afternoon proceed for a game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc evening you can take a Elephant ride at Periyar wild life and rest of the day is at leisure

Day 6Thekkady - Munnar

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Munnar. Check in at Hotel at Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (anamudi-2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls & Tea Plantations. On arrival at Munnar transfer to Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (eravikulam National Park – open as per the directions by the forest authorities ), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (hermitragus Hilarious)- the mountain goat of South India & Tea Musium. Evening have a short visit at Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight stay at Munnar

Day 7Munnar Local

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight stay at Munnar

Day 8Munnar- Cochin( 4 Hrs/126 Km)

Morning have breakfast at resort later check out resort and drive to Cochin, Check in at Hotel . After noon proceed for Cochin Sightseeing. Visit the Dutch Palace-built by the Portuguese in 1557 and subsequently renovated by the Dutch after 1663. The murals are perhaps the best in India. Jewish Synagogue – built in 1568 and the oldest Synagogue in the Commonwealth are at Mattancherry. St. Francis Church – built in 1510 and the oldest European church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets- introduced by the court of Kublai Khan can be seen in Fort Cochin. Fort Cochin Beach etc. Evening back to the hotel and overnight.

Day 9Cochin Departure

After breakfast proceed to the airport
