What to Expect

Running parallel to the Arabian Sea, the coastline of Kerala, boasts some of the most picturesque beaches in India such as Varkala, Kovalam and Marari. Adorned with array of swaying palms and coconut trees, the beaches are the picture perfect for sunrise and sunset view and is something that can remain etched in the memory forever. With Western Ghats on its side, Kerala is a delightful specimen of rich flora and fauna. Lush green surroundings and climatic conditions make Kerala an ideal habitat for a large number of migratory birds. A wide array of Ayurveda treatments that are based on Ashtangadhridaya text, make Kerala an important hub for wellness tour in India. The state is famed for its five-pronged treatment, Panchkarma. Kerala’s beach and backwaters are accompanied by its lush and surreal hill stations, of which Munnar, Wayanad and Vagamon

Itinerary

Day 1Cochin arrival

Arrival at Cochin Airport and transfer to hotel. Check in at Hotel. After noon proceed for Cochin Sightseeing. Visit the Dutch Palace-built by the Portuguese in 1557 and subsequently renovated by the Dutch after 1663. The murals are perhaps the best in India. Jewish Synagogue – built in 1568 and the oldest Synagogue in the Commonwealth are at Mattancherry. St. Francis Church – built in 1510 and the oldest European church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets- introduced by the court of Kublai Khan can be seen in Fort Cochin. Fort Cochin Beach etc. Evening back to the hotel and overnight

Day 2Cochin - Munnar (4 Hrs /126 Kms)

Arrival at Cochin and transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (anamudi-2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls; Tea Plantations. On arrival at Munnar transfer to Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (eravikulam National Park – open as per the directions by the forest authorities), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (hermitragus Hilarious)- the mountain goat of South India; Tea Museum. Evening have a short visit at Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight stay at Munnar

Day 2Munnar Local

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight stay at Munnar

Day 4Munnar - Thekkady

Morning have breakfast at resort later check out resort and drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is a world famous wildlife sanctuary and it is also called as Periyar. On arrival check in Hotel Afternoon proceed for a game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake. Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc evening you can take a Elephant ride at Periyar wild life and rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4Thekkady - Alleppey

Morning after breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to Alleppey. Around 1200 hrs check in at the hotel. Later take a cruise through the rich and splendid backwaters of Alleppey. Just relax at the luxurious houseboat. It will be a unique and exclusive experience in your lifetime. You will be cruising along the village sides and paddy fields witnessing the core life of the Kerala villages for the whole day. The house boat is fully furnished with bedrooms, private balcony and a kitchen. It also comprises a chef, Oarsmen & cabin assistant. The materials that go into the making are all local and Eco friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4Alleppey - Kovalam (160 Km/ 4.5 Hrs)

After breakfast check out from the hotel / houseboat and transfer to Kovalam. Check in at Hotel. Kovalam is an evergreen and pleasant climatic beach resort. Kovalam is a dreamland for tourists all over the world. With high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique aquarelle on moonlit nights. Kovalam was brought to the public eye by the Maharaja of Travancore. Over the past three decades, the place has been well developed, and now figures prominently on the world tourism map. The warm and clean atmosphere by the coconut trees and the white sanded are perfect for relaxing holidays, as the sea breeze gently plays with the waves. Relax at the hotel and overnight stay

Day 5Kovalam- Kanyakumari - Kovalam

After breakfast proceed for Kanyakumari sightseeing. Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. With an area of 1672sq.km. Kanyakumari occupies 1.29% of the total extent of Tamil Nadu. The district name is spelled as ‘ Kanniyakumari ‘ in official records which are in tune with the spoken name of the district in Tamil language. The District is bound by Tirunelveli District on the North and the east. The South Eastern boundary is the Gulf of Munnar. On the South and the South West, the boundaries are the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea. On the West and North West it is bound by Kerala. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6Kovalam - Trivandrum

Morning have breakfast at resort later check out Hotel and drive to Airport / Railway Station for departure
